Network Disruption - Routes 50, 50A, 501, 502.
Due to road layout alterations at Agricultural Hall Plain the bus lane from Upper King Street into Castle Meadow will be closed. This will begin on Monday 13th January 2020 and are expected to last approximately 10 weeks. Buses will be on a diversion during this time- this will affect routes 50, 50A, 501 and 502. All buses leaving Upper King Street to divert via Prince of Wales Road, St Vedst Street, Rose Lane and continue to Castle Meadow. A new temporary bus lane will be in operation between the Castle Mall car park entrance and Castle Meadow to aid bus movements during these works. Further road closures and lane alterations will take place and this will be updated accordingly.
Network Disruption - Route 11.
From Monday 24th until Friday 27th February 2020, the main road between Holme Hale and Necton will be closed. This will affect buses on route 11. When buses arrive in Necton mini-market, they will turn left into North Pickenham Road, then Station Road and on to Ashill Rail Bridge. Holme Hale village will not be served during this time. This diversion is in place in both directions. Only single decker buses will be on this route during the diversion.
Timetable Changes - Routes 3 & 6.
From Monday 24th February 2020 there will be changes to peak journeys on routes 3&6 to improve punctuality. The 0645 3 from Watton High Street will be advanced 5 minutes to a 0640 departure. The 1530, 1625 and 1745 departures from Norwich will now depart later at 1535, 1635 and 1750 respectively. The 1630 departure from Watton will depart 10 minutes later at 1640.3&6 timetable
Network Disruption - Route 37A.
Due to drainage works in Kenninghall Village, a diversion will be in place which will affect route 37A. This will be from Monday 3rd March to Wednesday 5th March. Buses that operate from East Harling will turn left at the T junction at the entrance to Kenninghall, before taking the first right into Quidenham Road and then rejoining the normal route. This diversion will operate in both directions.
Network Disruption - Route 5B, 8, 501.
Due to resurfacing work, Agricultural Hall Lane will be closed all day on Sunday 8th March 2020. This will result in the closure of Castle Meadow and Prince of Wales Road. The following diversions will be in place during this time. Route 5A towards Blofield - this bus will leave from Bus Station Stand A, and operate via Queens Road and Carrow Road before rejoining its normal route at Thorpe Road. Route 5A from Blofield - this bus will operate from Thorpe Road, Rail Station via Rose Lane, Cattle Market Street, All Saints Green (bollards will be removed from outside John Lewis), Surrey Street to the Bus Station. Route 5B towards Wroxham - once the bus leaves the Bus Station it will operate via Queens Road and Carrow Road before rejoining the normal route at Thorpe Road. Route 5B from Wroxham - will operate as normal to Thorpe Road, Rail Station. Then via Rose Lane, Cattle Market Street, All Saints Green (bollards will be removed from outside John Lewis), Surrey Street to the Bus Station. Route 8 from the Rail Station - to operate from Thorpe Road, Rail Station, Then via Rose Lane, Cattle Market Street, All Saints Green (bollards will be removed from outside John Lewis), Surrey Street to the Bus Station. Route 501 - this route will terminate at the Bus Station and will not serve Castle Meadow.
Network Disruption - 5, 5A, 5B, 5C, 8, 33, 37A, 50, 50A, 501, 502.
Due to resurfacing work, Market Avenue (between Rose Lane and Castle Meadow) will be closed from Monday 9th until Wednesday 11th March 2020. This will result in buses heading towards St Stephens Street and/or the bus station will not be able to serve Castle Meadow. Therefore, the following diversion will be in place. All routes will operate from Rose Lane via Cattle Market Street, All Saints Green (bollards will be removed outside John Lewis), Surrey Street to either St Stephens Street or the Bus Station. The bus lane from Upper King Street to Castle Meadow will remain closed. All buses leaving Castle Meadow towards Tombland and Prince of Wales Road will operate as normal.
