Network disruption – Route diversion - Dereham Carnival
Network disruption – Route diversion Location: Dereham Carnival Date: Sunday 22 July 2018 Effecting route: 4, 8, 11 Due to the Dereham Carnival a number of diversions will be in place between 1000 and 1300 on Sunday 22 July. All routes will operate to and from London Road roundabout which will be in lieu of the Market Place. Service 4 and 11 will divert via Baxter Row to Shipdham Road and then pick up their normal routes. Service 8 from Norwich should exit at the TESCO slip road and continue to London Road roundabout then via Baxter Row to Shipdham Road. Service 8 towards Norwich should operate from Baxter Row and pick up the A47 slip road at Roys. Bus stops at Market Place, Wellington Road, Norwich Road and Station Road will not be served during this time.
B1108 - Watton Road
Tuesday 3rd April to Friday 14th September 2018. The next stage of the road widening works will take place on the B1108 Watton Road between the above dates which will see the A47-bound carriageway closed. Route 3/4/9 will operate as normal to the N&NU Hospital and Norwich City Centre as normal. Route 3/4 will operate to Watton/Dereham via Cringleford Roundhouse Way, omitting the bus stop at John Innes and Colney Burial Ground. Route 9 will operate to Wymondham and Attleborough via Hethersett Lane and Braymeadow Lane to Little Melton.
Wymondham Market Place
16th July for 3 weeks. Affecting routes 6, 6A and 9. Due to Gas main works at Wymondham Market Place this will be closed for 4 weeks. The following diversions will be in place during this time: Service 6/6a/9 towards Norwich/Hospital – will serve Fairland Green and then continue towards Morrisons. Service 6/6a/9 towards Watton/Attleborough - will serve Fairland Green shelter then proceed as normal towards Silfield or Attleborough (6a/9) or via Harts farm Road to Waitrose then Tuttles Lane and then normal to Wicklewood (6) Bus stops at the Market Place and Melton Road will not be served. **Amendment from Monday 23rd July** Service 6/6a/9 towards Norwich/Hospital – will operate from Tuttles Lane via Melton Road, Ethel Gooch Road, Folly Road, Norwich Road, Postmill Close (adjacent to Morrisons) London Road to Fairland Green then Norwich Road as normal. Service 6/6a/9 towards Watton/Attleborough - will operate as far as Fairland Green Bus Shelter then continue to Silfield/Attleborough as normal (6a/9) or operate via London Road, Postmill Close (adjacent to Morrisons) Norwich Road, Folly Road, Ethel Gooch Road, Melton Road, and then as normal to Wicklewood (6). Bus stops at the Market Place will not be served.
Eaton - Road Closure
Thursday 12th - Tuesday 24th July. Affecting routes 50/50A. Due to the start of the works in Eaton and subsequent delays at the temporary traffic lights near the Red Lion an emergency diversion will be put in place until the full set of diversions start on 25 July 2018. The 50 will operate from the City Centre to Notcutts roundabout then Ring Road, South Park Ave, the reverse of the normal route through Pettus Road and Norvic Drive and then as normal to the City Centre from Bluebell Road. The 50a will operate direct along the Cringleford Bypass to Roundhouse Way, Cringleford slip road to the Church, normal route from Intwood Road and then back to the City Centre via Cringleford Bypass direct. During this time, we will be unable to serve the Cellar House on these routes. The 5A, however, will continue to serve the Cellar House.
Eaton Slip Road Forthcoming Closure
From 25th July to the end of August (5 weeks). Affecting routes 5A, 50, 50A. Route 5a - Will operate from Notcutts roundabout via Ring Road, South Park Avenue, Bluebell Road, then rejoin normal route at Eaton Village. Route 5a - from Eaton, the bus will take normal route into the city. Route 50 - from Notcutts will operate via Ring Road, South Park Avenue and then through Pettus Road and Norvic Drive in the opposite direction to normal and return to the city via normal route. Route 50a - full length of Newmarket Road to Roundhouse Roundabout, then Colney Lane slip road, normal route around Cringleford and back to the city as normal.
Timetable Changes - 29 July 2018
From Sunday 29 July 2018 there will be some changes to route 500 and 501. Route 500 journeys between 9am and 4pm will be withdrawn due to low usage. Route 501 will operate on Sundays & public holidays between Thickthorn P&R and Norwich City Centre.Find out more
