Konectbus attends Festival of Knowledge

We had a fantastic time at this year’s Festival of Knowledge, hosted by the Norfolk Chamber of Commerce. Over the two-day event, we had the pleasure of engaging with around 750 students, discussing the diverse career opportunities within Norfolk’s transport industry.

Our team spent the days dispelling the misconception that the only roles in the sector are bus drivers and engineers. We thoroughly enjoyed using our interactive job board to showcase the wide range of careers available, explaining the vital roles each position plays within a company.

This event marked another important milestone for Generation Go. By attending such educational events, we not only help break down the barriers between young people and careers in transport, but also provide them with the knowledge they need to confidently navigate public transport - empowering them to experience the next chapters of their lives with independence and ease.

The Festival of Knowledge was a calendar highlight! It was brilliant to see the students attempting to navigate the bus route from the bus stop to the depot - some even gave the teachers a run for their money! They were rewarded with jellybeans for their efforts, and perhaps we caught a glimpse of the next generation of transport industry leaders.
