Upcoming A47 road closures

Due to further National Highways work to convert the A47 to a dual carriageway between Easton & North Tuddenham, there will be a full weekend closure in place once again - from 20:00 on Friday 29th May to 06:00 on Monday 1st June which will have a severe impact on services 4 & 8.

Despite our best efforts, services over the weekend will operate with delay so we would advise that you download our app and track your bus live. Please also leave extra time if you are travelling for any time-sensitive appointments. 

Friday 29th May:

Service 4:

The 18:35 from Norwich Bus Station will operate directly from Longwater to Honingham, avoiding Easton due to a local road closure around the Colton Road junction.

The 20:00 & 22:00 from Norwich Bus Station will be diverted between the N&N Hospital & Honingham (Berrys Lane) via Barnham Broom. As a result, Longwater Retail Park & Easton will not be served on these journeys.

Service 8:

From 20:00, all services are diverted between Norwich (Elveden Close) and either North Tuddenham or Eckling Grange via Barnham Broom & Mattishall, as per the below temporary timetable which will be in place on this evening only. Services are liable to operate with delays after 20:00 - so we would advise that you track your bus on our app for live updates.

Saturday 30th May:

Service 4:

All services will be diverted between the N&N Hospital & Honingham (Berrys Lane) via Barnham Broom. As a result, all stops at Longwater Retail Park & in Easton will not be served on Saturday 25th April.

UPDATE 27/05: Despite National Highways not providing any funding or support for us to do so, and despite the additional cost incurred to our business - we have once again allocated resources to provide a limited shuttle bus service to our passengers in Easton & Longwater. All normal fares will continue to be charged. Timetables for this service are below:

This service will only operate on Saturdays, unfortunately on Sunday we will not be able to provide any service to Easton or Longwater - but we hope this facility will be useful to passengers nonetheless.

Service 8:

All services will be operating on diversion via Barnham Broom, and as a result a temporary timetable (see below) will be in place- with one bus per hour operating via North Tuddenham during the day, and a shuttle bus service in operation between Dereham-Toftwood-Dereham to reduce the impacts of delays experienced along the diversion route. The shuttle bus service will arrive & depart from the Boots stop in Dereham Market Place, whereas services from Norwich which will terminate at Dereham will terminate at the Cinema side of the Market Place. Our operations team will be doing everything possible to reduce delays through this closure, but due to the length & road quality of the diversion route - please leave plenty of extra time if you are travelling for time-sensitive appointments etc.

Sunday 31st May:

Route 2:

Services may be delayed through the day, as journeys between Norwich & Stalham are operated with buses used on service 8 - however we will aim to reduce this as much as possible.

Service 4:

All services will be diverted between the N&N Hospital & Honingham (Berrys Lane) via Barnham Broom. As a result, all stops at Longwater Retail Park & in Easton will not be served on Sunday 26th April.

Service 8:

All services will be operating on diversion via Barnham Broom, and as a result a temporary timetable (see below) will be in place with a shuttle service in operation between Dereham-Toftwood-Dereham to reduce disruption. All services on this day will operate via North Tuddenham to keep an hourly frequency. Our operations team will be doing everything possible to reduce delays through this closure, but due to the length & road quality of the diversion route - please leave plenty of extra time if you are travelling for time-sensitive appointments etc.
