Switch on to 30 day subscription ticketing on the Konectbus app and save yourself money on your bus fare.
If you travel often, or even commute by bus, it makes travel even easier as we automatically renew your ticket every 30 days.
Your ticket will be sent to your mobile and should your travel plans change at any time, you have the option to cancel.
You can also ‘gift’ a subscription to a family member which is ideal for students or as a helpful gift!
Why should I sign up to a subscription?
Because it's so easy! Instead of having to remember to renew your bus ticket every week or every month, you just need to set it up once and then you can forget about it. No need to keep buying tickets, and you know you'll always have a ticket to travel whenever you need it.
How do I get a ticket?
Simply visit our Buy Tickets page on our website and log in. If you already have an app account with us, you can sign in to the website using the same details. Look down the list of tickets to see which zone you need, then choose the 30 day ticket and click 'buy'. You'll be given the option to buy it as a one-off purchase or as a recurring ticket, so choose 'recurring ticket'. Then choose 'proceed to checkout'. If you're buying the ticket for yourself, in the 'Who is the ticket for?' box choose 'It's for me'. If you want to buy the ticket for someone else, for example your child, choose 'It's a gift for someone else'. Then put in your payment details (or choose a card, if you already have more than one card loaded) and click 'buy ticket'. If you already have an app account, this ticket will automatically appear in your account. If you don't already have an app account, you'll get an email telling you how to set up an app account. If you're buying a ticket for someone else, they'll get an email with a code which they can use to get their ticket.
How do I use my ticket on the bus?
Simply open the Konectbus app and bring up your ticket onto your screen. You'll need to activate it the first time you use it. When you board the bus, scan the ticket on the driver's ticket machine. That's it - easy!
What does my ticket include?
You can use your ticket to travel as many times as you want within the relevant zone. The services your zone covers are included in the description of each zone. Please read the description of each zone carefully, and if you aren't sure which you need, ring our customer services team on 03300539358. There aren't any limits about what time of day you can use your ticket, and you can use it as many times as you like - there are no daily or weekly limits. The tickets aren't valid on special services (for example, buses run specifically for a school/college or other business, and some special event buses).
How often will my ticket renew?
Your ticket will be renewed and you'll be charged every 30 days, starting from the day you buy your first ticket.
What happens if my travel patterns change?
That's no problem, you can cancel the subscription at any time. Simply log back onto the website and click on your name in the top right hand corner of the screen. Under 'subscriptions' you can see any subscriptions you have, and you can cancel them by clicking 'cancel' next to the relevant subscription. Any current ticket you have will still be available to use, but no more payments will be taken and you won't get any more tickets. You can sign up again at any time.
Can I create a subscription for other people?
Yes, you can. Simply follow the instructions above, but in the box which says 'Who is the ticket for?' choose 'It's a gift for someone else'. Type in the email address of the person you want to send the ticket to - please make sure you spell it correctly! Once you've set up the subscription, the person you're gifting it to will receive a voucher code by email. They just need to download the app and enter the voucher code to get their ticket.
What happens if my card expires?
Please try to keep your payment card up-to-date on the system. Our payment service provider works with card networks and automatically attempts to update saved cards, for example replacing an expired card or one reported lost or stolen. However, if you get a new card we advise you update it on our system in the 'my account' section so that you can continue using our subscription without interruption. We'll retry a card three times if we can't make a payment, and if the card still won't work we'll cancel the subscription and you won't receive your next ticket. You can sign up again with a new card if you wish to.
