- Direct Park & Ride routes to UEA and Hospital from Airport P&R
- Improved local access to the Airport
- Direct buses to ASDA and the Community Hospital from Mile Cross and Hellesdon
From Monday 14th September, Konectbus will be operating a new route (numbered 521) from the Airport Park and Ride to the UEA and the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital. Departing from the Airport up to every hour Monday to Friday, this route will also serve ASDA, Sweetbriar Retail Park, Norwich Community Hospital and Earlham Road, allowing residents of Hellesdon and Mile Cross the opportunity to access essential services by bus. Additionally, it will provide a useful link for those who work at the Norwich Airport Industrial Estate whilst helping to reduce congestion on roads north of the city. UEA staff and students are entitled to free travel on this service on presentation of a valid UEA ID card, saving the hassle of finding and paying for parking on campus.
“Route 521 not only offers another parking solution using the Airport Park and Ride to travel directly to the UEA and Hospital, but it also offers a direct service from Hellesdon and Mile Cross without passengers needing to change in the City Centre. On route 521, passengers can now reach the retail parks on Boundary Road and Sweetbriar Road as well as the Norwich Community Hospital, providing new cross city links which we hope many local people will find convenient.” Network Manager, Steve Royal.
The NEW 521 timetable and fares leafleat is available from Norwich Bus Station or on board.
