Konectbus team hosts Chatty Bus Event for International Men's Day
1 month ago
On a cold Tuesday in November, just before the first snow of the year, the Konectbus team braved the chill and headed to Norwich Bus Station to support International Men’s Health Day 2024. Despite the freezing temperatures, they were joined by the team from Walking with the Wounded, who provide specialist support for veterans and their families.
The aim was to offer support and information to members of the community who might not feel comfortable discussing their physical or mental health. Equipped with resources from Prostate Cancer UK, the Konectbus team promoted the Chatty Bus scheme, which seeks to reduce loneliness and provide assistance in any way possible.
By forming vital connections with organisations such as Walking with the Wounded and Prostate Cancer UK, Konectbus hopes to create a safety net for anyone in need of support, directing them to the appropriate specialist services.
The Chatty Bus will return in 2025, hosting a mix of travelling and stationary events across its network to continue supporting our community. Hopefully, none of these events will be as cold as the last one!
