Free Travel for Military Veterans and Active Service Personnel on Armistice Day and Remembrance Sunday

As we approach Remembrance Sunday on November 10th and Armistice Day on November 11th, Konectbus is honoured to support and commemorate those who have served, and continue to serve, in the UK Armed Forces. As a mark of respect and appreciation, all military veterans and active service personnel are welcome to travel for free on Konectbus and Norwich Park & Ride services across our routes on both days.

We invite all veterans and serving military personnel to take advantage of this free travel simply by showing their military or veteran ID when boarding our buses on these commemorative days. Whether attending a remembrance event, visiting family, or simply going about your day, we hope this small gesture expresses our gratitude for your dedication, courage, and sacrifice.

We also warmly welcome members of the public to join us in observing the two minutes’ silence at 11 am on both days as we honour those who made the ultimate sacrifice. Where safe and appropriate, our drivers may pull over, allowing everyone on board to join the nation in this shared moment of reflection. We thank our passengers for their understanding and patience should there be a brief delay in service.

As we remember, reflect, and give thanks, we look forward to welcoming military personnel aboard and sharing a quiet moment of respect with communities across the region.
