Fares Review

From Sunday 20th May 2018 we will be revising our fares across the Konectbus network. Since the last fares review in January 2016 our costs have increased and this needs to be reflected in our fares, however we will keep cost increases to a minimum. The average increase is 5% which equates to an increase of no more than 30p on singles, 40p on returns, £2 on weeklies and £5 on monthlies.

Norwich cityZone 10 trip tickets will be introduced at £18 for Adults and will be purchasable on the East Anglia Buses app only. On-bus 10 trip tickets will still be available for the 5 series, 37A and 87/88 between Norwich and Bungay – these will all be £18 for Adults.

The Anywhere Adult Day ticket will be dropped from £9 to £8 to encourage more leisure trips across our network including to Southwold.

In the Norwich area adult single tickets will be £2.70 or £2.80 (was £2.60) and return tickets will be £4.30 or £4.50 (was £4 or £4.30).

Norwich cityZone tickets (also valid on Norwich Park & Ride) are *frozen* and the Adult Day ticket has been reduced to £4.50 (was £5.50) - discounted for 16-19s and children.

Please note the following places will no longer be in the Norwich cityZone; Barford, Panxworth, South Walsham, Pilson Green, Shotesham, Saxlingham Nethergate, Hempnall, Hempnall Green, Topcroft, Topcroft Street, Bramerton, Kirby Bedon, Rockland St Mary, Surlingham, Claxton and the whole of route 53C. This is not a decision that has been made lightly but will ensure the commercial viability of the Norwich network. Norwich cityZone weekly/10trip/monthly/annual/termly/3termly bus passes bought before 21 May for these places will still be accepted until the ticket expires.

Straight8 fares between Toftwood/Dereham and Norwich will increase. Sample Adult fares; Single £3.40, Return £5.50, Weekly £22, Monthly £79 (frozen).

Fares from 20 May 2018 will be uploaded into the online fare finder (click Times & Fares and select your route) by 20 May 2018 at 5pm so customers are aware of the new fares the following day.
