From January 2025, the UK Government's cap on most adult single bus fares will rise from £2 to £3. Despite this increase, Konectbus will continue to provide passengers with great value when travelling across its services.

Simplified Ticket Options

Starting in 2025, Konectbus will offer a simplified range of tickets designed to suit all types of passengers. These include:

  • Adult
  • Young Persons (ages 5-19; under 5s travel free)
  • Groups
  • University Students
  • School & College Students

Whether you're travelling solo, with friends, or as a group, you'll find affordable options, including single, day, group, and zonal tickets

Great Savings on Day and Group Tickets

Group tickets

  • Previously known as Family Tickets, Group Tickets now cater to groups of up to five people, with at least one and up to two adults (aged 19+). Passengers can continue to save 25% on Group Day Tickets until March 2025, thanks to Norfolk County Council’s BSIP fund.

Day Tickets

  • Replacing return tickets on many routes, Day Tickets will offer better value than two single fares, even under the new £3 Government cap.

Short Journeys

  • For example, travel between Norwich Rail Station and Norwich Bus Station for just £1.50. Young persons save up to 25% on selected routes.

Cross-City Journeys

  • Travel across the city, such as to the University of East Anglia or Norfolk and Norwich Hospital, for a flat fare of £2.50 (young persons pay just £2).

Longer Journeys

  • Outer-link journeys will be capped at the Government’s £3 maximum fare for adults.

Flexible Weekly and Monthly Tickets

  • Discounted Weekly and 30-day tickets will continue to be available via the Konectbus app. Subscription ticketing is encouraged for greater convenience and financial planning.
  • Young Persons Weekly Tickets will remain on many routes, although Adult Weekly point-to-point and Family return point-to-point tickets will be discontinued.

Special Offers for Young People and Concessionary Pass Holders

  • Young Person Tickets
Passengers aged 5-19 can enjoy discounted fares, while children under 5 travel free.

    Older Persons Concessionary Pass Holders
Weekday travel before 9:30am costs no more than £2.50
FREE travel at all other times, including weekends.

Frozen Prices and Exciting New Offers

  • Norwich Park and Ride: Prices remain unchanged.
  • School Journeys: Reduced fares on most routes (except Route 53C).
  • Ticket Bundles: New 10x £3 single tickets will be available on the Konectbus app. Passengers should use any existing £2 bundles before they expire at the end of 2024.

Konectbus remains committed to making travel simple, affordable, and flexible for everyone in 2025.

"We are committed to providing our passengers with the best value and convenience in their travel. These changes reflect our ongoing efforts to make bus travel more affordable and accessible for everyone,"
